The historic district is a mixed-use urban village that has a variety of independently owned shops and restaurants. Grandin Village is one of the most eclectic districts of the city of Roanoke, maintaining a unique but welcoming atmosphere. Grandin Village is also home to the historic Grandin Theatre which originally opened in 1931. It was reopened and renovated in 2002. The Grandin Theatre is the only historic movie theater in Roanoke Valley. Raleigh Court is also located just a short distance from all downtown Roanoke has to offer. A quick drive across the Memorial Bridge will take you to the shops, restaurants and entertainment of downtown.
